Play Booster Fact Sheet: Bloomburrow

General Information

  • These are the most simple of any Play Booster set we’ve seen so far.
  • The List as we know it, specifically the “de-archived” cards with the Planeswalker stamp on the bottom left will no longer appear in Play Boosters going forward. It is unclear at this time if those will be replaced in future sets, but for Bloomburrow The List consists only of the Special Guest cards.
  • There are 81 total Commons in this set.
  • There are 100 total Uncommons in this set.
  • There are 60 Rares in this set.
  • There are 20 Mythic Rares in this set.
  • There are 20 different Full-Art Basic Lands in this set, with 4 styles per basic land type. These styles are based on the seasons, and will have different drop rates per season (see below).
  • There are 10 total Special Guests in this set that will appear in ~1 out of every 64 Play Boosters (or in ~1.5% of Play Boosters).
  • There is a lot less information about the drop rates in each slot for this set. In particular, we don’t know the rate at which Rares will be appearing in the Wildcard Rarity slots.
  • For the first time ever, the cards in the Starter Decks for this set will be Standard legal, including the reprints. These cards will have the BLB set symbol, but can not be found in Play Boosters.
    • This article on Daily MTG has the full deck list for both Starter decks. None of the reprints have new art, and all of the set numbers will be above 300.
    • Here is the full list of reprints that will not be appearing in Play Boosters, but will be Standard legal:
