The Arena Championship 7 Fact Sheet For Competitors Page Is Live ***UPDATE***

  • Update: I can confirm that emails have started going out to players, and the MTG Melee page is now live for AC7.
    • It looks like we’ll have a field of 49 players. With 6 rounds and a cut to Top 24, that should mean around 7 players with a record of 3-3 will make Day 2.

  • The Fact Sheet for players in Arena Championship 7 (AC7) has finally been posted, adding a little more context to the structure of the tournament.
  • The event will start at Noon ET on Saturday, December 14th with Day 2 starting at Noon ET on Sunday, December 15th.
  • As previously reported here, Day 1 will consist of 6 rounds of Standard Swiss with no Limited portion of the event. The Top 24 after Day 1 will advance to Day 2’s single-elimination playoff, with the Top 8 after Day 1 getting a bye in the first round.
  • Decklists are due no later than Monday, December 9th at 2:59 PM ET.
  • While the invite list is still not available, the prize structure for the $250k pool has been published.
  • When the changes were announced to the Arena Premier Play system back in March, WotC speculated that between 100 and 120 players would qualify for AC7. As soon as the actual number is available I will update this article.
  • Additionally, the Top 16 on Day 2 will get invites to Pro Tour: Aetherdrift in February, and the Top 2 will receive invites to World Championship 31 in December of 2025.
