Update: I can confirm that emails have started going out to players, and the MTG Melee page is now live for AC7.
It looks like we’ll have a field of 49 players. With 6 rounds and a cut to Top 24, that should mean around 7 players with a record of 3-3 will make Day 2.
The Fact Sheet for players in Arena Championship 7 (AC7) has finally been posted, adding a little more context to the structure of the tournament.
The event will start at Noon ET on Saturday, December 14th with Day 2 starting at Noon ET on Sunday, December 15th.
As previously reported here, Day 1 will consist of 6 rounds of Standard Swiss with no Limited portion of the event. The Top 24 after Day 1 will advance to Day 2’s single-elimination playoff, with the Top 8 after Day 1 getting a bye in the first round.
Decklists are due no later than Monday, December 9th at 2:59 PM ET.
While the invite list is still not available, the prize structure for the $250k pool has been published.
Additionally, the Top 16 on Day 2 will get invites to Pro Tour: Aetherdrift in February, and the Top 2 will receive invites to World Championship 31 in December of 2025.
