This one is kind of interesting, as Edge of Eternities is scheduled to prerelease the weekend of July 25th. While we don’t have a release date for the Spider-Man set yet, based on the cadence of Standard releases this year I would have expected that set to come out in September. It’ll be interesting to see what the actual release date of the Spider-Man set is now that we know it won’t be the focus of a Pro Tour.
In Regional Championship (RC) news, it seems the Australia/New Zeland (ANZ) and South America & Brazil (SA/BR) regions will be moving to new regional organizers.
ANZ will be moving from Good Games to Let’s Play Games beginning with the final RC of 2025.
March 7 – 9: RC at ANZ Super Series Finals in Sydney. This event qualifies players for PT: Final Fantasy.
May 9 – 11: RC at ANZ Super Series Finals in Melbourne. This event qualifies players for PT: Edge of Eternities.
October 25-26: RC at ANZ Super Series Finals (location TBD). This is the first event under Let’s Play Games and will qualify players for the first PT of 2026.
SA/BR will be moving from Magicsur (for South America) and City Class Games (for Brazil) to a combined Regional Championship organized by Devir BR with the final RC of 2025. The total prize pool for these RCs will be $40,000 and include 10 PT invites and 2 World Championship invites per event. Invitations will not pass down if earned by a player with another invitation.
January 25-26: RC at City Class Showdown in São Paulo. This event qualifies players for PT: Final Fantasy.
March 15 – 16: RC at South American Magic Series in Santiago. This event qualifies players for PT: Final Fantasy.
May 3-4: RC at City Class Showdown (location TBD). This event qualifies players for PT: Edge of Eternities.
May 31-June 2: RC at South American Magic Series in Santiago. This event qualifies players for PT: Edge of Eternities.
TBD: RC presented by Devir BR (Location TBD). This event qualifies players for the first PT of 2026.
