The official Arena event calendar has been updated for all of February and the first weekend of March, with a number of interesting events on the horizon. You can view all of the events on my event calendar, but I’ll list some highlights and notes below:
There is a listing for a Historic Arena Championship Qualifier Play-In in February, but no Bo1 option the previous week as is typical. I expect this is a mistake and it will get added to Saturday, February 15th at a later date and for now I’ve added it to my event calendar. The Historic Qualifier Weekend that follows also only has Day 2 listed, so I suspect there was some issues with events that started on Saturday and run until Sunday Morning.
The same weekend as the Qualifier, and the Pro Tour, is another Arena Direct event, this one using Aetherdrift as the format. An interesting note here is that this Arena Direct is listed as “Arena Direct – Sealed Aetherdrift Collector Booster”. It’s possible that they’ll be giving away Collector Booster Boxes as prizes for this event rather than Play Booster boxes. I’ll provide an update as soon as I hear one way or the other.
The next Arena Open, using Aetherdrift as the format, is scheduled to take place on the weekend of March 1st. Once again there appears to be an issue with any event that starts on Saturday and goes until Sunday morning, as the Arena Open Day 1 does not appear on the calendar.
