- My Adjusted Match Point (AMP) standings Sheet has been updated for 2025.
- During Pro Tours, a player earns 3 points per match win and 1 point per match draw. Adjusted Match Points, or AMP, are the points a player earns at a Pro Tour after the 9th point is earned. So if a player finished day 1 with a record of 4-4 they would have 12 PT points and 3 AMP.
- AMP are tracked over the course of the PT year and provide an alternate way for players to qualify for future Pro Tours or that year’s World Championship.
- Any player who accumulates 39 AMP over the 3 previous Pro Tours will get an invite to the following Pro Tour. For example, in 2024 Brent Vox earned 12 AMP at PT MKM, 17 at PT OTJ, and 19 at PT MH3, for a total of 48 AMP over the previous 3 Pro Tours. This means Brent is qualified for PT DFT this weekend. However Brent needs to accrue at least 3 AMP at PT DFT in order to qualify for PT FIN later in the year.
- Additionally, the 32 players with the highest AMP at the end of PT EOE that do not otherwise have an invite will automatically be qualified for the World Championship at the end of the year.
- My AMP standings are intended to provide a clear and accessable way to track your favorite players throughout the PT season and into Worlds. In addition to tracking AMP, I will also be using it to track the Kai Budde Player Of The Year race throughout 2025.
- Typically for a Pro Tour coverage is a round or two behind what’s happening live, so using MTG Melee for standings will always result in spoilers for at least the current round on coverage. Because I manually update the Sheet round-by-round, but only after coverage has made it clear they’ve finished with the current round, my AMP Standings can also be used to look up spoiler-free results from an ongoing Pro Tour. And because I pull the results directly from MTG Melee, it should also provide decklist links to each player’s respective Melee page. (Note: It’s possible that a player’s personal Melee page will contain spoilers beyond what’s currently on coverage, although it’s harder to be spoiled this way than when looking for the standings specifically.)
