- Wizards has released the upcoming schedule of events coming to Arena up until the digital release of Final Fantasy on June 10th.
- I posted earlier about the return of the Arena Open on the weekend of May 17th, but there have been about fifteen additional events added to the calendar since I made that post this afternoon. That event, and everything else listed here as well as events that were previously announced, can be found on the MTG_Scribe Event Calendar for ease of reference.
- May 10 – 12: Pioneer Showcase.
- There are no further details about this event, however it appears to be the first time any event on Arena has used “Pioneer” in place of “Explorer”. Other than “Pioneer Masters”.
- May 17 – 18: Arena Open: Dragonstorm.
- May 19 – 26: Sealed Lost Caverns of Ixalan.
- May 20 – 22: Midweek Magic: Gladiator Showcase.
- May 20 – 27: Premier Draft: Khans of Tarkir
- May 23 – 26: Arena Direct: Sealed Lost Caverns of Ixalan (Set Booster)
- The recent news of a change to the Arena Direct structure didn’t mention Set Booster events, but I would speculate this will use the same structure the Play Booster Directs use. See this article for details.
- May 27 – 29: Midweek Magic: Stepping Stone Sealed Deck
- May 27 – June 3: Premier Draft: Core Set 2021
- May 27 – June 10: Premier Draft: Mixed-Up
- No further details were listed as to which sets will comprise the pool for these drafts.
- As a reminder, when an Arena event uses “Mixed-Up” it means that multiple sets will comprise each “pack”. They use “Chaos” when they use full packs from different sets instead.
- June 3 – 5: Midweek Magic: Phantom Bot Draft: Dragonstorm
- June 3 – 10: Premier Draft: Neon Dynasty
- June 3 – 19: Quick Draft: Aetherdrift
