Constructed Arena Direct And Two Arena Anthologies Announced

Arena Directs

• There will be a Play Booster Edge of Eternities Arena Direct Sealed event happening this weekend, but WOTC also announced the first-ever Standard Arena Direct event.
• The two Directs will happen at the same time, and will use the same entry cost and prize structure.
  • Entry: 6,000 gems
    • 0-2 wins: No reward
    • 3 wins: 2,700 gems, 8 digital booster packs
    • 4 wins: 5,400 gems, 16 digital booster packs
    • 5 wins: 8,100 gems, 24 digital booster packs
    • 6 wins: 1 Edge of Eternities Play Booster box
    • 7 wins: 2 Edge of Eternities Play Booster box
  • WOTC has listed the replacement prize per box to be $164.70, in the event they need to replace the Box prize with a Cash prize. This is not common.

Two Arena Anthologies Announced

• Also announced this week, to go live on Arena on August 19th, are two separate Arena Anthologies. These anthologies are designed to bolster Arena’s overall card pool. The cards will be legal in Historic, Timeless, and Brawl.
  • Mox Opal is pre-banned in Historic.
• Arena Anthology 1 is focused on adding a host of Artifacts to the client, including all of the Signets, all of the Talismans, as well the remaining Swords, Darksteel Plate, and Champion’s Helm. There are 26 unique cards in this Anthology.

• Arena Anthology 2 is much more wide-ranging, including the first card from the Reserved List to be added to Arena in a way that can directly be added to your deck (Rofellos, Llanowar Emissary). In all, there are 25 unique cards in this Anthology.

• Both of these Anthologies will be available to purchase in the Arena Store starting on August 19th, and each will cost 4,000 gems or 25,000 gold.
• All of the cards contained in these Anthologies will also be able to be individually crafted using Wildcards as soon as they’re for sale in the store.
