Avatar Play Booster Fact Sheet

General Information

  • Avatar does have a Bonus Sheet, called Source Material cards. These will only appear in about 1 out of every 26 Play Boosters, or 3.85% of the time. This means that you will see fewer than one on average in every 8-player draft pod.
    • The Source Material cards will have the set code TLE, which is shared by other cards not in the main set (such as the cards in the Jumpstart set). The Source Material cards will be TLE 1 – 61.
    • Unlike the Final Fantasy or Outlaws of Thunder Junction Bonus Sheets, every Source Material card is listed at Mythic Rarity, and every card has an equal chance at appearing.
  • There are no Special Guests in this set.
  • The Play Booster breakdown by rarity is:
    • 81 Commons
    • 110 Uncommons
    • 60 Rares
    • 20 Mythic Rares
    • 10 dual lands at Land rarity
  • The most common Avatar Play Booster will have the following rarity breakdown:
    • 8 Commons
    • 4 Uncommons
    • 1 Rare
    • 1 Basic Land or 1 Dual Land in equal likelyhood
  • Prerelease packs for Avatar will be themed towards the color and character depicted on the box.
    • The character and color themes are as follows:
      • Aang (White)
      • Katara (Blue)
      • Azula (Black)
      • Zuko (Red)
      • Toph (Green)
    • Each prerelease pack will contain 5 normal Play Boosters, as well as one themed pack heavily weighted towards the color of the pack.
      • At the time of this writing, I’ve only seen one of these packs opened, the Zuko (Red) pack, and every card in the pack was a Red card.
    • Every pack will have an Uncommon copy of the character on the box.
    • These packs will contain 14 total cards, including the foil promo card that can be any Rare or Mythic in the set and is not bound by the color of the prerelease pack.
      • The rarity breakdown is not available at the time of this writing, so the following is speculation based on the only pack of this I’ve seen opened. I’ll update this section of the Fact Sheet as new information becomes available.
        • 1 Foil Promo Card (not bound by the color or character of the prerelease pack.)
        • 1 on-color Rare or Mythic (These can be Gold, but one color will always match the color of the prerelease pack)
        • 1 Uncommon Aang, Katara, Azula, Zuko, or Toph, matching the character on the prerelease pack.
        • 2 on-color Uncommons
        • 8 on-color Commons
        • 1 on-color Land
          • The pack I saw opened contained one of the dual lands, but I don’t know if this is always the case or if a Basic Land is possible here.
        • 2 Tokens
