Arena Limited Championship To Replace Arena Opens

  • In 2026, there will be four Arena Limited Championship Qualifiers that will take the place of Arena Opens.
  • Players will be allowed to enter both drafts any number of times during the event weekend.
    • These ALCQs will consist of two, best of 1 drafts that take place on the same day.
    • The first draft will cost 25,000 gold or 5,000 Gems to enter, and players will try to earn 7 wins before they reach their 2nd loss. This prize structure for this draft is as follows:
      • 0–3 Wins: No rewards
      • 4 Wins: 1,000 Gems
      • 5 Wins: 2,500 Gems
      • 6 Wins: 5,000 Gems
      • 7 Wins: 5,500 Gems + 2026 Arena Limited Championship Qualifier Draft Two entry token
    • The second draft will require a 2026 ALCQ Draft Two entry token, and players will try to earn 6 wins before they reach their 2nd loss. The prize structure for this draft is as follows:
      • 0 Wins: No rewards
      • 1 Wins: 6,500 Gems
      • 2 Wins: 7,500 Gems
      • 3 Wins: 8,500 Gems
      • 4 Wins: 10,000 Gems
      • 5 Wins: $1,000 USD + 2026 Arena Limited Championship entry token
      • 6 Wins: $2,000 USD + 2026 Arena Limited Championship entry token
  • Once a player has earned a 2026 ALC entry token, they can not earn additional copies of this token; however, they are still allowed to take part in the ALCQ drafts and earn up to $2000 each time.
  • The ALC itself will qualify “approximately 120” players for the 2027 Magic Limited Championship. The ALC will take place in “late 2026, and the format will be best of 3 draft with a number of Swiss rounds determined by the number of players who have qualified.
