I confirmed with an Arena Dev that several facts in the T&S article were incorrect, as I mentioned in my article last week. Even after corrections were made to the article, it still incorrectly listed Draft 2 as allowing for 6 wins or 3 losses, rather than 6 wins or 2 losses.
Due to the confusion this created among players, WotC sent out an email today to anyone who participated in Draft 2 saying they would be considered as having reached one additional win for the purposes of awarding prizes.
This means that anyone who finished with a record of 4-2 in Draft Two this weekend will be recieving $1,000 and a qualification for the Arena Limited Championship later this year. If you finished 5-2 you will be recieving $2,000 in addition to your qualification token. Players who finished 6-1 or 6-0 will see no change in their payout.
If you made Draft 2 and haven’t received this email yet, please make sure to check your spam and junk folders. The email states that they expect to deposit funds in player’s iPayout account in the next two to three weeks. If you don’t already have an iPayout account from winning a previous Arena Direct, the email can help you get that set up.
I have not seen any hard numbers on how many players qualified for the ALC, nor how many additional people qualified due to the error.
